Tranquility. This is synonymous with Icaraí de Amontada, or simply Icaraizinho for locals. The fishing village is a true invitation to encounter peace, simplicity, and what is most beautiful in the world: nature. Here, the main star is the sea, with its natural pools that form at low tide. The spectacle includes the trails in the native forests, long walks among the sands of the beach, and the sails and kites of kitesurfers and windsurfers, which dance over the waters, carried by the winds, that are always strong and constant.
Those who don’t dare to go that far can simply enjoy the calm and warm waters in a refreshing swim, while hearing the reggae on the sands, and appreciate landscapes that will remain forever imprinted in your memory. It is also possible to stretch the trip to the Sabiaguaba Lagoon, surrounded by dunes and coconut trees, like a mirage, but real.
A few kilometers away from Icaraizinho is the beach of Moitas, even quieter, with its small boats moored at sea. There, you will be able to take a trip to the source of the Aracatiaçu River, passing by mangroves and shrimp farms, until reaching the district of Mosquito and its villages that are hidden among the dunes. There is also the beach of Caetanos, with calm seas and strong winds, an ideal destination for adventurers on duty.
After walking, it’s time to witness another spectacle: the sunset amid the coconut trees, with its festival of colors in shades of orange, yellow, and lilac. And before heading back to the inn, how about stopping by one of the restaurants? The establishments are rustic, but that’s part of the charm. Take the opportunity to taste fresh seafood, shrimp, and oysters, in addition to the traditional stingray moqueca. The options are varied and are even better if accompanied by a very cold coconut water or a typical caipirinha.
Come live inside a dream in Icaraí de Amontada.
